We return on Saturday January 25th with Vijay Prashad and Helena Sheehan to look at 21st century Imperialism in it’s era of Decadence! 

Who thinks about problems today? We witness a political class, academia and media discourse completely divorced from our experience. Our crises are seen as opportunities not meant to be solved, but rather managed through capital-friendly programmes.

Elections show that the priorities of the political leadership lie in a realm that has little to no connection with the challenges of today’s society.

They intensify alienation by not only ignoring the issues of our time, but by making this ignorant approach seem normal & expected. Examples of the past suggest there is another way. That leadership with care and wisdom is possible. But how can we achieve it?
