Saturday 13th Sepmber communists from across Ireland gathered in our headquarters in Dublin for a National Political School.
Members came from Cork, Donegal, Antrim, Belfast and all points in between coming together to discuss, debate and exchange experiences.
The school is part of our preparations for our 27th Congress in early 2027.
First part of school dealt with Historical and Dialectical materialism as the corner stone of the revolutionary idealogy of the Communist Party of Ireland.
The 2nd session dealt with its application in regards to our political programme adopted at our 26th Congress.
Which developed our understanding of state monopoly capitalism(imperialism) and it’s role and domination in Ireland.
Best expressed in our Triple Lock of domination and control by US/EU & Britain.
How communists understand the nature of imperialist control, our understanding of the class nature of the EU and the economic and political forces it represents. The dominant role of US monopoly capital in Ireland.
We also discussed the historical and on going of British imperialism in Ireland. How it’s continued role in the 6 counties was the main obstacle to peace and national unity.
Also discussed was the class nature and understanding of demands like sovereignty, democracy and independence.
That these mean different things to the working class as distinct and different from that defined by the Irish ruling class.
The 3rd session provided an opportunity to discuss and to share experience in relation to the global situation and permanent war strategy of global imperialism headed by the USA.
It is clear that imperialism is facing renew pressures and challenges globally.
The final part of the school focused on the role of CPI branches in implementing the strategy adopted at Congress.
Branch officers outlined their experiences difficulties, challenges and successes.
The school was an important gathering of communists from across the country.
Consolidating our party and the many new members within our ranks.
Forward to our 27th National Congress.
