Every Budget is presented as a question of how much to tax and how much to spend. The People’s Budget asks a different one: why should public money keep building private wealth, when it could be building homes, energy and services that we own in common?
Taxing billionaires will not, on its own, change who holds power in Ireland, because power comes from ownership and not from income.
Join us for a Connolly Conversation on what a Budget would look like if it were judged by what it leaves in public hands, and on how a minimum programme can bring the widest range of people behind it.
