In what was a wonderful evening of Traditional Music from Ispíní na hÉireann and a historical narrative of the shop from Historian Donal Fallon and Author Conor McCabe at Connolly Bookshop in Dublin’s Temple Bar Area who all gathered last night to celebrate the bookshop’s 90th birthday. The final few words were given by the shop stalwart for over forty years and Communist Party of Ireland’s former General Secretary Eugene McCartan. The shop has maintained its radicalism for nice decades and a open house for many groups to host meetings and for a drop in place for political discussion and a cuppa.
