Féile 2025:This years talk at Féile 2025 organised by the Communist Party of Ireland(CPI) was on the theme “Neutrality, Partition and the Fight Against Imperialism in Ireland” held in St Mary’s College, Falls Road (today 8th August) .

The key note speakers where Frankie Quinn, National Organiser, 1916 Societies, former Republican political prisoner and currently involved in many community based struggles to build socialist Republican forces.

James Corcoran, General Secretary, CPI.

Comrade Quinn drew upon the historical experience of the Irish republican tradition of radical anti-colonial anti-imperialist current within the national movement in relation to Irish neutrality. from Wolfe Tone tó the leaders of the 1916 Rising.

Comrade Corcoran stressed the relationship between sovereignty, neutrality, reunification and the struggle for socialism.

He place the struggle around the defence of the Triple Lock and neutrality. As part of the anti imperialist struggle.

That you can’t build socialism in an occupied country or where imperialism control the means for sustaining life, the means of production.

The meeting attracted a large audience and provoked a wide discussion.
