December protest – Keep the Triple Lock

Statement From the People’s Movement: Our protest is in its eight year and solidarity is now more important than ever. Minister Harris has stated that he proposes to amend the Triple Lock in this legislative term and so there is little time left to demonstrate opposition. Though we are a small group, we believe that we are in tune with the sentiments of the majority of citizens – despite the recent and continuing media blitz to sway public opinion against neutrality and the Triple Lock. As the EU increasingly expresses belligerent views and rushes to lavish expenditure on armaments, your expression of support for the Triple Lock by joining us for a period, however short, assumes an importance that it might not have had heretofore.
