Palestinian Solidarity

On Saturday 27th November Communists in Dublin helped to organise a market to fundraise for the plight of the Palestinian people. The indoor market took place in Dublin at the Connolly Bookshop in Temple Bar. Many people called in to offer their unwavering support and to condemn the continued oppression by the Israel state.

LAST Friday, 26th November, Muhammad Amjad Dadas went to the village of Deir al-Hatab,near the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, where Israeli forces were attacking Palestinian youths with tear gas canisters and stun grenades.

The Palestinians were protesting against the encroachment of the Jewish colony of Elon Moreh on land that was violently seized from the village. Muhammad, 15, was with other boys from the New Askar refugee camp on the outskirts of Nablus. An Israeli sniper shot him in the abdomen from 50 yards away. The boy was taken to Rafidia hospital in Nablus in a private car while “bleeding profusely.” He was pronounced dead an hour after arrival. These murders continue on a daily basis and as a policy of eithic cleansing by the state of Israel.
